About this amazing doll artist Shannon Clark: Shannon has been a doll
artist for about 12 yrs She started taking classes so she could make a
large Scarlett doll for her Mother and herself .She loved creating these
dolls so much it soon became her hobby and then later a job .
She went to New Orleans in 98 to the
Anne Rice costume
ball on Halloween and gave doll artist Anne Rice a doll of Lestat for
her doll museum. Anne liked the doll so much she later called and asked if
Shannon would be her personal doll artist for the Anne Rice Collection.
Shannon was so excited and honestly did not believe the phone call to be
real and asked Anne was this a trick question? It was not and here today
many years later Shannon is still painting these amazing museum quality
dolls for Anne. Shannon was thrilled to get that chance to send her work
all over the world.
Shannon is still considered artist Anne Rice’s doll artist and maker even
though Anne closed her store in 2004. Shannon still makes the dolls of
Anne’s characters whenever a fan orders one.
Shannon is 37 years old and married with a long haired weenie dog named
Charlie. Shannon has loved Scarlett since she was
13 when she read the book and then had to see the movie.
